fine

There is no fine issued in Victoria for $150. The offence of " vehicle fails to comply with registration standard" is found in the R.S.V.R.'s (Road safety Vehicle Regulations) section 819(3), and carries and immediate fine of $165.00, and Zero(0) demerit points.
No offences in the RSVR's carry Demerit point listings. Offences in other acts (i.e., Road Safety Act, Road Safety Traffic regulations) Do, and they are mostly only attached to offences whereby a higher level of risk to safety has been infringed. (i.e. Exceed blood alcohol content, speeding, etc.).

But what is the physical defect for?? You have a turbo and intercooler? Whats illegal about that?
bogged wrote:Large intercooler or adjusted wastegate a defect??
You're not allowed to have the wastegate open to atmosphere - it is supposed to be a closed system (or at least it is on mine)...
So if your turbo sneezes, it's bad. But i guess it's just like having a pod air filter and a loud exhaust

Do you know where i can find the rules for these sorts of things Robbie? I kinda like to know what i'm doing wrong before i get told about it by someone else.
hmm.. epa website has a lot on it I think.. but I know a lot of it as my girlfriends brother works at a reputable turbo specialist shop - they boost, modify etc & do RWC checks
