Gday,
Here is one for the Auto electricians.
Getting to wiring the start circuit up for my 4 runner with VS V6 commodore motor.
I have the commo inhibitor switch which has 4 wires coming off it.
Black - Earth???
Green - Reverse lights.
Pink - Park ??
Grey - Neutral ??
How do i incorporate this into it so i can only start in N or P.
Has anyone out there done this? I am sure it has been done.
Ultimately i need it to start at the key then pass through
inhibitor switch to confirm it is in N or P then after that
to the starter solenoid to start.
I need to think about reverse lights as well.
Any info would be greatly appreciated as i am nearly on the road.
Thanks
Dave

Looking at the VR diagram, which should be the same or close for the VS, it's a simple job.
Looking at the plug YB35, wires 434 and 1434 will be the start inhibitor (to operate the start (cranking) relay and wires 339 (to switched ignition power) and 29 (directly to globes) will work the reverse lights;
