Re: Long range petrol/diesel tank swap
120ltr ?? Sounds more like an LPG tank. all of the main tank Long range's are 146 or bigger.Rampage wrote:looking at buying along range fuel tank for my GU patroL! i see for sale a GQ long range 120L main tank that was used for a petrol one! just curious as if the GQ tanks fit the GUs! ive heard they do but hope for a confirmation! also does it matter getting atank that is use for a petrol on and putting it into a diesel car! will the fuel pump etc still all conect up??

makes no difference. The tanks are the same. If anything just poor a litre of your chosen fuel in it. Splash it around and then drain it. If empty already. There want be enough left to give either fuel system an issue. As your mixing the dregs with 100+lts of fuel.
And as bogged said. Generally they are around the 147-160lt mark for aftermarket tanks that replace the std rear tank. There are some custom ones that have slightly less i.e mine was setup for a 2"BL and I had the tank lifted. In doing that they must mod the tank slightly as it only ever had a usuable 130ish litres.
