Is this the fuel screw? (hilux 2L)

Post by yamaha__308 »

Hey all,
Just installed a turbo onto my 2L hilux, and im having trouble turning the fuel screw in.
I cracked the locknut and tried to screw the adjuster in but it looks like there is a sleeve crimped onto the thread to stop it moving. Is this the case, or am i doing it wrong?
Cheers

yes that is the screw. give it a squirt with wd 40 and it will turn. start with 1/3 turn and see how you go.

Thanks guys, worked it out. Was just being too gentle..
Turned it in 1/3 of a turn which gave EGT of 300 C max post turbo.

Time to turn it up again!
