No ignition lights

As above says i have put a new battery in and new earth lead in and have no igntion lights inside dash i have power every where else but no ignition lights come on car wont turn over is there any fuses i dont know about or can anyone help or give any ideas been fixing this rosa up slowly for my daughter

Fuseable links?

Don't know about Roza's, but on my rocky I've got two (i think) fusable links that come off right near the + terminal on the battery. One runs ignition and power to the fuel pump solenoid, on runs something else IIRC. (their basically really thin wire, so if there's a short, they burn out and it cuts the flow of electricity)

Its possible these could have blown or there's a loose connection there.

Got a circuit tester? Should be easy enough to find out if this is the problem, just test the wiring as it leaves the battery terminal and further down.

Beats me. But I've had a sparky throw in really thin wire in there instead, cause he ran out of "fusable links". Said it'd do the same thing. But he's a bit of a bush sparky

Any Applause will also have these fusible links fitted to the battery + terminal so wreckers may be a source.....

Be aware that a non A/C Feroza only uses two fuses so if ones has been put in the wrong spot something isn't going to work.....

Narva have fusible wire listed in their online catalogue. http://media.narva.com.au/books/5.pdf Otherwise you could just add in a high current fuseholder with a 80 Amp fuse (or something in that vicinity.) Auto electrical shops or boating suppliers should be able to get them in- or shop online.

I wouldn't trust normal wire as it's likely to burn. The proper fusible stuff has a special flame retardant fibre insulation.

Well i done what you said got my tester out and checked all the fuses all looked good couldn't work it out head lights would come on and the hazards would too then go off then i had a beer the wife got in and checked the fuses i was grabbing all the wires in the engine bay when the wife said what are you doing and found 2 wires that looked like they had to be connected to the battery put them on the battery and bang all the dash lights come on and the ignition lights done the same thing too. they were hiding behind the radiator anyway tried starting it but nothing so looks like the starter motor might be stuffed so i'll pull that out tomorrow and test it

so thanks for the help if i have any other trouble i it post up i'll have heaps because i bought this cheap have been slowly fixing it up for my daughter so there will be more
