i think all this is overkill engineering..
i was at a local wrecker today and looked at a FORD ef wagon.. the rear shackle is held onto the chassic by TWO 8mm bolts on each side. i was horrified when i saw that.
im sure joe has used/ sold and tested his arm with no complaints. im a little worried about the lower tie rod mt where the plate kicks out with no bracing, im sure the load of steering would not be good at that point, but as i say its tried and tested

Joe, does this still use bolts to hod it in, is there any option or point to upgrading to stud\cone washer style setup to add a bit of extra beef ?

standard leafs that are flat, 2" BL taken out since that pic was taken so it sits lower, yes its a NT and its not as bad as turbo tonka and aerenandmel say, but yes it is high id say now about 5-6" lift without BL

It really isnt that high, no lift blocks just SPOA standard leafs that are sagged and 2" shackles witch are commin out next week.

Bear in mind the rear shackle mount on a car takes almost no load. (really) that's why whacky shackles and 3/4 eliptic can work.

I agree -I'm sure this arm does work but also agree about the gusseting and that cone washers and/or dowels would be an improvement.

I have two histeer arms at home that I pulled off cars I put back to SPUA and they are both scary and neither would be anywhere near as strong as Joes design.
