if it doesn't have to look sexy, just get some PVC drain pipe and angles from the hardware store. cheap and when you break it it's cheap to repair/replace/

This may sound silly, but ................................... I vaguely remember that PVC may cause problems with static electricity + carbs + fuel = boom

I dunno :?

If u wanna make a PVC snorkel, and are worried about it breaking, use the 90/100mm Sewerage Pipe.... heaps stronger than the stormwater pipe (even thats pretty strong, will take cars drivng over it quite easily), and use plenty of PVC jointing cement, and then maybe a bead of silicone around the lip of the jointing piece to ensure a airtight seal, same on were it enters into the airbox.

If all else fails, bum around a truck exhaust place and search their bins from some nice 3" Stainless exhaust cut offs and take it to be shaped up.
Cheers,
Dan.

Why not lash out & buy one ? no more water problems.

The snorkel head will set you back approx $80 anyway.
