They might be comfortable in a drag car, for 10 seconds.

Those are drag race seats... Hence non ADR compliant... Very uncomfortable after a short time and will be very expensive by the time you get them freighted here.

and very illegal...

seats need to be ADR approved - so you're better to buy them in australia from a store... then you can inspect them yourself =)

Go to the wreckers and get a pair of seats out of a Nissan Pulsar/Holden Astra.
They fit well and are very supportive and comfortable...... and cheap. :D

You'd be surprised how comfy the plastic and aluminium seats can be with the covers on them. I've spent a bit of time in a Kirky aluminium bucket and plastic RCI seats and I found them not much more uncomfortable than my cobra race seats. Although I wouldn't reccomend them for larger folk.

Mate has a late 80's Astra but I think they'd all be pretty good..
Do the ass test at the wreckers and see what you think.

Not sure about later models but this one and the one before are quite comfy.

Generally, very soft seats aren't actually more comfortable. I drive a minimum of 3 hours a day in my STi, on 19mm on foam - Recaro SP-G race seat. It's easily the most comfortable seat I've ever owned,

However, those plastic RCI seats are evil. I can't see why the Kirkey's wouldn't be comfy though - they have pretty good padding though the base.

They're an alumninium drag race/sprint car seat.

Illegal, hard to mount, subject to fatigue etcetcetc... but cool....

they also do a road race seat that's nice, but pretty bulky.

REALLY? Thats outrageous. . .

I can't believe it would be that expensive. I have decided i will give them a go but if it turns out to be that expensive i can buy 3 pairs of new seats for that same price.
