found a coily sierra thatd been pulverised sitin at the wreckers, noticed the dash was still in it and was in top shape besides mould growning on it and covered in grime n dust....
i like the dash heaps but will it be an easy swap into my nt 1.3 sierra??? ive got the old style dash so i wanted to upgrade it to the newer style, so has anyone done this swap before?
does anybody know if the plugs at the back of the dials are the same?
cheers, islandvit

coily dash into leafy interior

Plugs are likely different, but that's not really the problem. Coily dashes don't work with folding windcreens as coily screens don't fold.
I've seen a leaf sierra with a coil dash in it and it was a nasty floppy loose fit. I'm sure it can be done but it's masses of work and I'd put money on some stuff like the heater controls etc never quite working properly again.
Remember too the dash vents are in different spots etc so you'd probably need the heater unit.. then you find out the firewall is different and it doesn't fit... ( the firewall is different)
go for it, but don't think it's going to be easy.
Steve.
