C/View 24hour - NEW EVENT 1/2 hr from Bris 6th & 7th SEP

Post by cityview »

I have been meaning to set up and run a new annual weekend event. I have decided on the first weekend of Sept.

Its a social event and will be lots of fun with many different aspects and challenges. The CITY-VIEW 24 HOUR will be held from Sat mid-day to Sun mid-day. There are driving tasks , navigation , Q & A , and many other things to keep you busy over the 24 hours. The event will cover the whole park and the tasks will be mixed up so you will have to first work out what order to do them in or you will be out of time. Knowledge of the park will be a distinct advantage. Time is allowed for breakages and sleep. The event will be run as a teams event , with each team comprising of two cars and two people (min) in each car. If your team is very capable you may be able to take some short cuts , but the risk is breakage of your vehicle , You dont need a super capable truck to compete , but good tyres and good 4wd skills are a must. There are driving tests and they are run as stages with penalty points , similar to the City-View Trials. Some of the stages , only one of the cars need to complete and the other vehicle may assist , like winching etc. It may be difficult , steep , rough or tight and technical. So a small vehicle may be an advantage. I am thinking about entry fees and working on prizes , but believe me I will try my hardest to make it all worth while by making it fun.

I will post more about this event as it get closer , however if anyone is interested , please feel free to call and ask any questions you may have. (0424568886)

Ok I have changed the heading and the date to the following weekend to avoid the Gympie Muster , oh and Powercruise lol. Im sure a few of the guys from BoostCruising.com.au will be happy with that too.

So now its SEPTEMBER 6th & 7th

I will now go breath life into the CITY-VIEW 24 HOUR.

More updates soon.

Cheers
