It's a big job mate, and even if you're a gun welder, there's other things to consider like antisquat, panhard angles.
have a look at my build up thread then go and chat to the guy who did it.

I Used all toyota surf suspension under mine...
Not as flash as getting a fabrication place to do all the work, but for my skills and how well it works.. was really worth it...
Cost me around $400 in the end by the time i sold all my leafspring stuff and parts off the Toyota surf rolling chassy.
Easy to do
Each to their own....I'm happy.
Coils are not fully flexed it that photo also..
Cheap, rides well, handles well and flexes well IMOP

3.0L turbo diesel, 4" lift, bud's front housing, track assasin cv's, air lokker front + Rear, beadlock'd 37 stickies, high steer, 15.5" travel ranchos, high pinion diff and coils on the rear

actually coils improve speed handling significantly imo. ive driven both flat out across rough, smooth and loose dirt and coils hang on better in all conditions going round corners. i dont care about flex in mine though and old mate here mite.Sic Lux wrote:front works just as good as the rear if not better only need for coils would be a bit more comfortable.

As you can see the coil setup and the rear prado tank went in good, thanks to you with all the advice and help.
Yeh you can get flex like that out on the rear leaves, but IMOP the coil setup was better for what i wanted to do as now i can also carry a bit of weight....
