Baleno vs Vitara G16B ecu

Post by nicbeer »

Hey,

Anyone know if the 96 AUTO G16B dizzy motor ecu is compatible to the vit G16b AUTO motor ecu?

more so as a spare ecu as well as i noticed on red book there is about a 3-4kw and nm increase as well as a 6000rpm revlimit on the baleno compared to the vit one. (5600rpm rev).

cheers

nic, came across info to the effec that by 96 your baleno ecu is prob. OBDII spec. Id reakon that would mean no go on the swap to a pre-96 vit motor.

On another topic it look like a couple of guys in suzuki-forums.com have almost cracked the early90's vit OBDI output ito something that will be readable on a PC. I'm watching it with great interest and prepared to pay for one if they get it running. Check it out

hmmmm i am getting all the sensors and all that too. have to see once its out i think. i will talk to the boys down at suzuki also and see what the parts manuals say about the odb2 and that. i am hoping i can swap it all over than can do scan tooly :)

thats presuming all the sensors can bolt in easy and its only the ecu thats differrent in it self
