my GQ 2.8 td is over heating, big bubbles come from radiator filler when cap is off and runing, when cap is on it pressurises. Head gasket was done 5 months ago, has it blown again?? Any ideas would be great thanx blokes

was the cooling system bled properly?
could be somthing simple- may be the right time to upgrade er to a 4.2.
id say take it back to the mechanic who repaired your vehicle. get them to do a head gasket leak test and go from there. they can do this quickly with what we call a teekay headcheck which detects combustion leaks by changing the colour of a special fluid within the radiator filler neck.. works a treat and give a fairly accurate indication.silentgqownerer wrote:mechanic did the work should have had it tested, bled it scince with funnel ( coke bottle) but keeps taking water and blowing continous big bubbles
