bj42 seat swap
G,day anybody know if there are any front seats that will come close to bolting in to a bj42.(fuel tank under floor pan) thanks.
ive got recaro's in mine.. they use 2 of the existing seat mount holes in the tub.. had to manually get something under the floor for the other 2 mounts.. these are tapped bits of 10mm thick steel with bits of wire attached so you can position it where it needs to be..
this is what went under the floor.. a single 2" diameter hole in between the 2 seats allowed you to get the two inner rear most bolts in..
then position and drill the holes in the tub. smaller holes and rivits hold it in its final position..
here is one that has been removed already, next to factory seat mount
once in they do the job nicely.
The guy doing the mod plate for change of seat numbers couldn't tell the diff between factory mounts and the ones used.
