rocky diffs
are rocky diff wider then sierra nt cant find any things on rockys

oh and i have a few just laying around
Not the easiest on a NT - It'll require outboarding the front spring mounts, but they're boggedteentybazillion times better than Rocky diffs.

if the rocky diffs were free you'd still be better off with WT sierra diffs that cost you money,
or MQ diffs that cost you money.
you're never going to break MQ diffs in a (sensible) Sierra. You might break Rocky diffs. You can't get any HD stuff for rocky diffs but you can get loads for sierra WT diffs.
Rocky diffs don't make any sense.

Rocky diffs are not more than 100mm wider from 5 minutes research on google.
I'd rather have lockers and gears thanks.

Re: rocky diffs
why don't you ever explain things out in a bit more detail? What exactly are you trying to achieve? Are you just after a wider track? Do you want stronger? Do you happen to have access to some for free? Are you 15 years old and just discovered the internet?_noddy wrote:are rocky diff wider then sierra nt cant find any things on rockys
Ransom note = demand + collage

Cause he's a tossa and has no idea. He's worse than my lovey wife of over 20 years who will change her mind 10 times a day over things. I min he asks this question the next another and then another then 2 days later is asking the same question on the same forum again.grimbo wrote:why don't you ever explain things out in a bit more detail?_noddy wrote:are rocky diff wider then sierra nt cant find any things on rockys

Dude you need to provide more information FFS so we can help you. For all we know you could have a stock standard mall cruiser (do they have a mall in gympie?) NT that doesn't need a wider track. Next time you reach for the "new topic" button, stop, think about what you're doing and ask yourself "have I searched for this info in the bible, google or with the search function?" "have I provided all the info to help others understand what the hell I'm on about?" and last but not least "am I just kidding myself and have no intention on actually performing any of these modifications?"
end rant

In an attempt to bring the tech back into this thread, what about 70 series diffs as a SPUA option Steve? (without consideration to legalities etc at this point)Gwagensteve wrote:Rocky diffs are not more than 100mm wider from 5 minutes research on google.

Steve.
Not as wide as MQ (good and bad), offset pumpkin, strong (but big centres and heavy), Hi-pinion front in later models?
I assume more expensive than MQ/hilux due to supply and demand though.
I've decided to upgrade my sieera axles but having a troopy in the driveway as well made me look twice at them.

Yeah, 70's would be a good option but they are much dearer than MQ, they're all generally geared 4.1.
Normally I suggest MQ's when the builder is working with a budget because they're almost free.

also limited locker/gearing available but a lot more than rockys have. and also the std ratio 4.6 is good for zooksbadger wrote:mq diffs only have one disadvantage ....... the cast mount on the front diff
