Thanx for the imfo about the engine mounts stressed.
We did some 4WDriving yesturday and busted a engine mount
It was that bad there was strange noises in 4WD and the gearbox had shifted 2 the right which meant my mate couldn't use 5th gear and the engine fan wasn't turning because it was touching the fan shroud.
Hes getting a mate 2 fit a new mount today and also put some chain around it

My mate said it despretly needs some BALLS
Will the manifold off the 2.2 EFI Turbo Telstar/626 be compatible? Always wondered if you can just grab the exhaust off one and chuck it on....
At a guess it won't fit. The 2.2 is a derivative of the Mazda FE/F2/F3 series petrol and RF/R2 diesel engines (same as my Kia, Hmmmmmmmmmm) wheras the 2.6 is a derivative, if not the exact same engine as the Mitsubishi engine +/- a different head.

Hey, if you get any handy hints for your B2600, then can you pass them on to me
I have a 93 Ford Raider which is a re-badge Courier in a wagon form, which is a re-badge B2600. The 2.6lt engine is a EFI Mitsubishi G6. I am not sure if Mazda changed to their own motor for the 96 B2600/Courier but don't think so.
I am also looking to up the power. I was going to use a V6 holden but the only off the shelf bellhousing is for the TH400 slush box. I could get one made for the gearbox that is there but my 4WD is my daily driver and I would have to send the gearbox away to have a bellhousing made to fit. Current thinking is a supercharger but like you, I'm not sure if the running gear is up to it.
Is the Raider/Courier/B2600 really so bad that nobody wants to make strong aftermarket parts for them and if so, why? With so many Courier/B2600 's around, I would have thought there would be some sort of market.

I've got an idea........SELL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, I've had 2 Bravo Turbo deisels from new. Lots of power but......... broken axle, 3 wheel bearings, rear pinion seal, blown transfer case and gear box (interesting story that one, MAZDA BLEW IT!), sparked a world wide recall on the bonnet latch system.
They'd be ok for light trail stuff but anything other than that forget it.

Nev you could kill 2 birds with the one stone here.
Why not go with the holden V6 and auto then use a Hilux transfer case adapter behind that. Then you can buy reduction gears. Or even fit a hilux 5spd box and transfer.
Re: Turbocharging a bravo
hey mate, i got manifold made ,cooler etc etc. it cost me over 10g's not including diff, gearbox and clutch. it will lean out unless you put a haltech on it. and it won't stop costing money. i'm pushin out 280 at the treads on 9psi on the stock motor.
Re: Turbocharging a bravo
Gearboxes are weak, so maybe upgrade the box and swap motor.
Or sell it.
