it is actually very easy to wire up yourself, i layed the loom flat on the floor and traced all the wires from the ecu, to where they go and stripped the rest (lights, junk, ect), they are all the same colors for the same wires between most toyota's. the only problem i had was i didn't hook up a switch in the gearbox and it made the engine doughy, once hooked up it went fine.

cheers mark

well i finally got motor going just have two small probs
1. The motor shuts down when driving down the highway and i take my foot off the accelerator, it will free rev and back off no worries it is just when going down the highway
2. the tacho, can i just connect the 80 tacho wire to the wire from the fuel pump. if so will this have an effect on the ecu?
if anyone has any information about these two probs i would love to here from them.

all the info i have is in my head and a whole lottal manuals. the motor i used came from a 78 series wihout the immobiliser. basically i used the original 80 loom and pretty much only used the computer to run he injector pump. if you have any specific qS then i will try to help you out. basically in a nut shell the conversion was fairly easy.
