Have an extra set of 15x8 with 3" Backspacing. I am thinking to put it on instead of the 15x8 with 4" Backspacing.
Truck will see highway miles and off-road in the Gulf.
Will 3" Backspacing be too much on the bearings and steerin components?
Thanks

Yes with a 8" wheel and 3" Backspacing : Tyre is 5" out and 3" in from the center of the hub but plenty run 10" wheels with 4" Backspacing with puts tyre 6" outside and 4" inside.Steve F wrote:I personally think yes as stock its 5 1/4" backspacing so with 35X12.5" tyres and backspacing of 3" you're adding a fair bit of leverage compared to stock. Plenty run them like that though or with 3.5" backspacing anyway.
Cheers

Other run 2.5" backspacing. I think i will go with the 3" and see what happens.
That s a pic of the truck with the 4" BS wheels.
