Correct. All timed events at LCMP require a full internal cage.

Does it need to be to CCDA or anything?

I'm building one to almost same specs except rear stays may have bends...
(need the space in the back but also need it removable)

PM me about any cage requirements ...

from LMP rules ...

ALL COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE:
All vehicles competing in speed events require Extended 3rd Party and must be fitted with a 4-point internall roll cage with front windscreen hoop (this hoop can be removable). Also fully external roll cages may be considered.

external cages must be bloody good ones,
safety is paramount so a pool noodle cage is definately out

Shane is it possible to run the same car through twice, different driver each time? Grant wants to see what it feels like to drive a propper 4wd and since he only owns landcruisers i thought i might give him the opportunity :D

Don't forget your CTP extension ...

you should be right to get it from now onwards.

[they sometimes say you can only get it up to a month in advance]

What is it with the bend in the rear stays. I notice half the nth of the border cars have this bend. Even though CCDA rules say no. I realise XWC don't follow CCDA, but OBC does and they still allow them.

Sorry Shane, just want to clear this comment.

Xtreme rules require a full internal roll cage in the XWC events. I do not care what is on the rear.

You will find also that CAMS do not require any extra bar work on utes entered in their events.

Only CCDA has come up with this rule, for what ever reason I do nor know.

Cheers
