I vote "cheap and not worth stealing".

Otherwise you might as well just sticky tape $300 in cash to your bonnet and save yourself the hassle of installing something just so some bastard can steal it.

"Trying"? How far did they get? Did they damage them in the process? Spotties seem way too easy to steal. Awesome havin a decent pair though. After great feedback in a topic I started I went Lightforce and couldn't be happier.

A little trick to piss the theifs off, is to drill the protuding amount of stud after the nut goes on and carefully knockin an approate size roll pin! So unless they walken around with a set of pin punches, their a plick to get off!!! :D

if you're having theft issues, once the lights are adjusted tack weld the nut to the pin - obviously not so much you cant hacksaw it or file it clean again, but enough to stop a spanner undoing it.

That said i use rectangular spread beam ones off a forklift... theyre AWESOME.

unscrewed the bodies, stole the globes, and left the body of the lights on the ground... basically 20seconds from taking them

$300 range... would then reccomend finding a $200.00 set, and putting a cheap $100.00 55 watt HID kit in them to make them perform.

$200 cheap spotties from Kmart, Repco, Supercheap etc. Or $200.00 can see you grabbing a good second hand set of Night Visions, IPF's, Nite Stalkers, Narva's and even Hella's off Ebay.

get the nastiest 2nd hand set you can find, with decent quality reflectors then wack an ebay hid kit in them, thieves wont touch them, and you will have more light then you can handle

Ive been using Nightstalkers for 2.5 years, bright with 130w bulbs no discoloration, no chips and no theft because no one knows what they are, they sell for around $120.00.

similar price to Lforces and others.. Do they use a normal H1 or similar globe, or are they like Lforce, use their own impossible to find to replace globes?

cheap ones you dont care about are $100-175 tops.

Bogged, try some gun shops. They sell them up here. Same globe for spotlights as driving lights.
