i used standard arms + the ring with also acouple pieces of 6mm steel to mount it all togetherTurbo Tonka wrote:ritio then i didnt know when i got it that it meant i couldnt use my standard brackets, now i do then.................?
you will have to take a notch out of the ring to fit the arms on then i gusseted them together so you wouldn't get any twist
this was installed at the same time when i lifted my case about 40mm. with the lifted case and the ring the case JUST clears the floor and I've got a 2inch body lift

I fitted my ring, and my car does not have a body lift. The ring has to be trimmed down to about half height where the tunnel drops down on the drivers side.
I cut a wide shaped V to clear the tunnel corner, then I welded some 6mm steel plate allong side the narrowed section to try and regain some of the lost rigidity in the region.
Even after this, its still a very trikky operation to get the tranfer in and out of the car. But once it is in there is plenty of clearance.

Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.
cheers, well ive notched mine this morning and done a little bit of dodgey welding using a couple of pieces of 25x5/6mm flat i had lying around.put it back in car and took it for a drive all seems well for now,ill keep an eye on it i guess

If you've stuffed it up you would relies pretty quickly .. bolt holes wont line upTurbo Tonka wrote:cheers, well ive notched mine this morning and done a little bit of dodgey welding using a couple of pieces of 25x5/6mm flat i had lying around.put it back in car and took it for a drive all seems well for now,ill keep an eye on it i guess

sorry for not being up to speed with instructions on this one man, we've been at the Logan challenge so i couldn't reply.
I figured anyone who wants one of these rings, has found out about them through word of mouth or has a mate who's done it and know's what's going on.
It's still interesting, there must be at least 50 zooks running around with one of these rings by now and everyone has fitted it differently, so you can see why it's tricky to give solid instructions.
cheers Chris

jimbo, yeah you need longer bolts,8 m8 50mm long will do,you can use 3 of the originals to replace the shorter ones if you want.so 11 all up and some flat washers to space out the ring where needed
