HAVING TROUBLE PULLING HUBS APART
HAVING TROUBLE PULLING HUBS APART
decided to rebuild swivel hubs today pulled one side apart peace of piss but drivers side wont come out i cant get the drive clutch off took hub off circlip out but drive clutch wont come out due to a lip that has been created on end of inner axle just after circlip groove wondering what has caused this any help would be awesome
A sloppy circlip will cause burrs on the axle spline. Clean it all up with carby/brake cleaner, then use a ftp file to carefully take off the dags. You may also need to remove some daggy bits from the spline valleys too - dont force the hub coupler off the axle as the dags will score the insides.
