Put a snorkel on the Jimny all by myself today Mind you I had to lwork out what an arbour was and how to fit it, where a vacuum cannister was, pysch myself up for 20 minutes before I was happy I hadn't screwed up the template... then start drilling
Only thing that saved my arse was a set of instructions on how to do it over at www.jimny.se

I usually place several small magnets on the body work around the hole I'm drilling to catch all the metal filings and stop them going where they can't be removed from and rusting.
Wear rubber gloves when using silicone to avoid the mess and wipe off excess on car with a rag soaked in Mineral Turps.. No mess.

There's just a very soft hum when it's idling, but I have a recently put a 2"mandrel bent system with extractors and a hi-flow cat on it... can't hear myself think... I actually need to quieten it down a bit... it sounds like a WRX

That does look hot squik, is the bar air bag compatable? The ex missus is planning on fitting one soon to her 2008 model and I've heard they don't make them yet but she's got a catalogue with them listed in it.

So Squik what have you done in running gear this time? Reduction gears in the transfer case? If no is it guttless in low range?

Trust me... Stumpy loves the mud as much as Stimpy did
The 235s do bog him down a little, still tossing around options but he won't be as big as Stimpy or run a Rockhopper. Maybe go up to an 80mm lift, 30s and a Trial Jimny set... we'll see.

24 % reduction sounds like too much for a 235/75R15 tyre on road and is bugger all for low range .Better off getting a Sierra case i reckon ,also having no chain that can stretch is a good thing.
Also i think www.Apio.jp also have gears available as well.
I have no idea of the costs of these gears.Or anyone that runs them.

They're expensive but can be combined to give abut a 25% high range drop and about 5:1 low range.
Mugginsmoo on here did this before he saw the light and started the worlds longest and most complicated sierra build.
They work but I'd have to say swapping a gear drive case is still better.

Well, I can't lift it
It has dropped the nose very slightly, but I need to upgrade my suspension anyway, it's sagged a bit.
Get a bar on before you lift it, that way your suspension can be bought to suit... instead of doing it arse-up like I always do
