whats better (Cruiser / Patrol) petrol ecconomy
whats better on fuel a gq patrol 3.0 liter or a 80 landcruiser 4.2
and what is better to drive onroad and offroad there both petrol
and what is better to drive onroad and offroad there both petrol
Should have moved it to chit chat.
For the fuel economy get the 3.0lt petrol patrol and put standard 4.8lt diesel landcruiser diffs under it, it's a straight bolt up job. Put a turbo on the engine with a straight through 2.25" system with a highclone fitted straight after the turbo. An atomic polariser will help but may be hard to find. And if you want more efficiency fit a GM 6 speed gearbox although crawler gear may be required to get the best gearing.

considering both of those are diesel I'd have to say neither.

So is the original question "Which is better a GQ Patrol with an RB30 petrol, or an 80 Series Cruiser with a 1HZ 4.2l diesel?" Or have I misinterpretted?
Edit: Sorry just read the title. Don't think there was a 4.2l petrol 80 series Cruiser. There was the 3F which was 4.0l and the 4.5l in the later models.

no the guy is very vague, to say the least, with his questions. So it is usually anyones guess as to what he is on aboutduallux wrote:So is the original question "Which is better a GQ Patrol with an RB30 petrol, or an 80 Series Cruiser with a 1HZ 4.2l diesel?" Or have I misinterpretted?

if you're talking about an RB30 patrol and a 3F cruiser, the cruiser will be batter to drive on road but the RB30 patrol will be lighter on fuel, should be by about 25-30%
