broke 9 teeth of my crownwheel early this year. second hand unit was 340 plus new bearings throughout about 200 i think. rebuilt it all myself so no cost in labour, and already had the airlocker.

what were you doin at the time when it went out of curiosity? and what tyres you run?

you looking new or 2nd hand?
i would think you would find one if you looked in the 4sale on here.
i paid $800 for a pair of complete 80 diffs on here.
so if your happy to go 2nd hand you can get them cheap.

locker, best ive heard of was $967 for ARB new but not fitted.

A Locker will set you back about a grand, but you still have to fit it and you'll need an air compressor etc as well

Well to be fair the oil in it was really thick, not sure what was in it but sure wasnt right, only had the car since december, guess i should have checked that, oh well whats done is done.

How i done it, well put on a 4 inch lift an some 35 stt's, got a bit cocky and tried climbing up off the side of this track,(seen it done before) but didnt have enough clearance and the mount for the tow ball dug into a rock when i went to go backwards. let tyre pressures down an had another stab at going forwards and BANG, not a noise im likely to forget.

So yeah thats how it happened.
