GQ Front Inner Axle Seal?
Ive ran a search but with no answers.
Im doing my front inner axel seals this weekend on the troll, in the gregorys it say that the seal is flush with the inside of the axle trunnion, but i just went into nissan and they said it was right inside near the diff bearings ?
Anyone done this job recently?
Want to know what im in/looking for.

Hammer and screwdriver,but don't damage the diff,hit the screwdriver into the outer edge of the seal, they come out pretty easy. Buy the seal from a bearing place instead of genuine, about $10-15.. Use a socket slightly smaller in diameter to the seal on knock it in square...
I did my GU a while back and there is only one seal and it sits right near the knuckle. In the skinny bit of the diff housing. Easy to get to mate!

Just did kit on my Patrol. Very straight forward. I used this method exactly, when removing and replacing that seal.
96 GQ LWB, Rd28T, nothing exciting, but CLEAAAAAN. 2" Kings flexy's, long shocks, custom dump, 3" zorst, fuel screw meddled with.

Got them out! Piece of piss!!!
Only prob now is the King Pin Bearings Wish I new that these would be a prick, doesn't say anything in the gregorys about pressing them out . Would have done it on friday if i new! Any one know any tricks? Tried pullers (no go), tried screwdivers (no go), tried vice, drift and BFH and no go... Any other ideas (other than a press) or is it wait till monday?

dont recomend it but i rip the bearing apart then grind a thin slice in the top of the bearing race that is still press on. i get my trusty splicing screwdriver (old flat head driver) and very carefully beat the shit out of the driver on the slie i made till it cracks right through.

Can I just ask what type or brand of grease everyone is using when packing cv's? lithium based and/or molybdenum disulphide? no2 no melt?
Gettin different opinions from too many people who don't know anything about 4wding

there is only one right near the knuckle but the nissan parts catalouge shows it towards the diff for some reason so a parts guy thats not familiar with patrols gets confused easily part number should be 40533-01j00 or something similar
