can someone tell me what the amperage is on a standard alternater and does anyone know were to get 100 to 120 amp alternater

Ring Rovacraft in Perth W.A. and ask for Stewart or Dave , they sold one to a mate in Vic for a great price ,Stewart is a good guy .

make sure you ask at what shaft speed the unit produces 120A. Some of the 120+A alternators only produce that much current when the car is running @ 4000 rpm which is pretty useless really. They might "only" produce 80A @ 2000 rpm so really you have an 80 A alternator.

If the one mentioned is the case look at a bosch 80A that produces 80A no matter the shaft speed, makes it a better all around performer.... or fit two if you need more :)
