Hilux Transfer case with inspection plate? which models?

Post by leehamescort »

I have a hilux gear driven top shift transfer case with an inspection plate on the side.

Does anyone know what model hilux it would be from?

I am toying with the idea of fitting a PTO to the transfer but would like to get a spare tranfer case to toy with so mine is not off the road while i pull it apart.

cheers

They came from some early first gen Hilux's. Ive never been able to identify exactly which ones came with them. You will find there are no internal parts inside the cover to set up a PTO. And as far as im aware Toyota have no parts available to add the PTO. At least they had nothing when i last enquired about 5 years ago.
