best number plates

Post by dont_follow_me »

guys,

I have always wanted something cool in a number plate and have been a bit stumped for something for my GQ

can you post up some combinations that maybe you have seen or would look good on the GQ. It has to be no more than 6 letters/numbers

ok there you go do one of them as this has no tech content at all.

Have alook in general chit chat as there have been quite a few of these threads in the past with plenty of suggestions

'asshat' is easier to find than "a white 4wd"

if you dont think a well fitted out and modified 4wd will stand out to even the least intelligent Mr Plod, I dont think a custom number plate is going to draw their attention any more than 33's, huge lift etc etc

Dude I have 2 set's of Personal plates. I had SIK40 on my bj40 (see below). Love the plates but hard to forget.
I got a second set for my 4wd when I got it but they ended up on my DD.

They are just too much of an attention drawer and they are easy to remeber.

what a great sounding machine. why bother with rego? you should get personalised plates asap, so someone can report em to the cops.

I'd love to get plates for my GQ, but as said previously, they're too much of a pain in regards to police/bogans etc.

As "memorable" as a 4x4 with big tyres and a big lift is, EVERYBODY remembers numbers plates. Two of our last cars had custom plates, and aside from the douche bags trying to pinch our plates, you can basically consider yourself a magnet for police and fcukwits regardless of the time of day, who's driving, or if your doing something wrong or not.

God forbid you ever get caught doing something wrong in the car.

Sorry i cant help with a plate choice - but thats my 2c.

i have a mate with a big lifted single cab hilux and his plates are HYLYF
we have heard numerous reports of someone else with a new luxy (not lifter) running HILYF in the area...copycat.
i have been thinking about different plates for my GQ (one day in the future) but after seeing a few different 4x4's lately with personalised plates i decided that they DO bring more attention and yeh, they are alot easier to remember.
personally, if i was you, just keep your numbers as they are and maybe just go for a coloured plate to match your 4x4...

you can get screws that only go in and cant be reversed out. they have a tapered slot in them so a screwdriver cant get them out. seen them for sale in places like autobarn.

wheres the tech...well there is none but it is Nissan only related. if it gets removed then so be it

I reckon slimline plates are the go. They make a big difference in looks, plus they are easier to find fitting places for.

I use 6mm allen bolts with a piece of bike tube between the body and plate (stops rattles and rubbing off your paint). I use nylock nuts too.

I see that running around a fair bit. The plates do make it stand out a bit more than usual.

so you haven't seen the great big sticky at the top of every tech section that says tech only, might pay to have a bit of a read

I got Personalized Number plates for mine, Slim white ones with black writing (white patrol so they match in) with TD.42.GQ on it and yes its a Diesel Patrol.

I have had complements on the plates but they don't stand out unless someone really looks at it.
u'd have to know about the car to know how the plates match
