yea nah, the bell-housings on both motors are vastly different to each other

if you have every thing from the diesel trol then drop it into your shorty, i just finished swapping a "popped" turbo SD33 out for a NA one for a friend of mine and I'm very suprised how much more torque it has over my 3.2 navie
rear quarters are evil and must be punished with rocks

diesel 5 speed won't fit L28, it has 30mm shorter clutch shaft.

hi there the 5speed diesel bellhousing has an adaptor/spacer
when used on sd33's if you remove the spacer would it fit
then???? coz i think that was an adaptor to make fit the sd33??

just a question.

Diesel 5 will fit,, look in bible. take input shaft and bellhousing from 4 spd swap to five spd. all done bolt back in. Now make up new drive shafts. OR just use bellhousing and cut 30mm off the 5spd input shaft.

You may have a prob with the gear stick. 5spd the stick if further forward in box. Either cut floor up under heater box and make new floor plate or the top off the 4sp will fit the 5spd with a few selector mods..

Been there done this, all is great until you come to the conclusion that it stilll used as much fuel.. well a little less,, and it wont use as much oil 1st is lower. 4.6 diffs in 5th about 2400rpm on 33"s
