My centre diff lock isnt dis engaging properly? whats wrong?

hey guys my centre diff lock in the cruiser isnt disengagine straight away it clicks and makes some noises but takes a while for the light on the dash to go off? what could be causing this?

pretty sure if you chuck it into reverse and backup a few metres that helps disengage it.

I had the same problem. To disengage it I had to go back and forwards a few times in a straight line.

it might be in your air line either external, or maybe inside your centre i had one installed and found the tube that runs from the locker to the ferel on the case to be slightly crushed which caused a similiur thing

I think your talking "diff lock" and the poster is talking "center diff lock" which is electrical.

I`ve had a few probs with mine and thats cause I`ve left it on by accidient. Try to find a bit of loose gravel or sand,when its turned off and as you drive thru it,plant the throttle as if your trying for wheel spin,this should dis-engage the center
