6.5 litre Diesel Conversion on GQ

Post by sturra82 »

Has anyone done a 6.5L Chev V8 Diesel conversion on their GQ and if so is their alot to it and is it pricy.. Also Does anyone know if there are any major differences between the 4.2D and 4.2P GQ's aside from the engines. (is one drive line slightly different). If so which would be a better base for conversion and would handle the power better.

what about this
http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22229
GU patrol with a rb25det engine conversion out of a r33 skyline .

Has tunable Power FC computer , HKS turbocharger , Front mount intercooler , 285/75/16 cooper tyres , DVD TV , Tough Dog adjustable steering damperner , Rallye 4000 HID spotlights.

I might have missed some things but that gives a rough idea.

Converion has been done professionally and everything functions as it should .

As you can imagine it has plenty of grunt for off roading it made 270 rwhp .

I am planning on getting a dual cab ute for work which is the only reason for sale.
The pic shows the old top mount intercooler but has a front mount now with all stainless steel tif welding piping.

Looking for around $22,000
