I have run lockrights in zook diffs for many years and always used 4 pinion carriers when fitting them.
I am looking to fit bundy rear and Lux front with an 80 HP centre in my zook but it seems the 80 HP and most Lux centres are two pinion. Has anyone run Lockrights in two pinion carriers and were they OK or do I need 4 pinion carriers and if so what models had them?
Also from what year did the Lux come with larger calipers and vented rotors?
Lastly......... ........ does anyone do an off the shelf rear disc conversion yet?

I think that is late 1988 to early 1997 (for rigid front end).
Upgraded the solid rotors and small calipers on my fathers '84, and just specified LN106 to the wrecker (calipers), and brake shop (rotors).

yes the lockrite is made for the 2 pinion centers, i have one in my front.
i jsut picked up a set of bundy diffs for my sierra. my rear was already done with the lux diff and coiled, leaf front. my bundy rear is almost in, cant wait, no more vibrations.
ill be doing center clearence and disk brakes as well..
mine stops well with std sierra master/ booster and lux solid front discs with std 4 piston front calipers

2 pinion carrier are fine for lockrites - part no. 1610 is what you need - they are for 2 pinion open, the 1620 suits a 4 pinion open.
I think there is a site in the states where you can get a disc conversion but thats big $$$$ - just make it up yourself. Have a look on yotech.com there are a few guys there that have done good build up of rear discs. seems pritty easy if you have all the tools to machine metal.

Sticking with leaves, I am happy with the ride and flex I currently have and while coils are I am taking the easy route.11_evl wrote:use a readily available hilux front diff and just mod the brackets onto it for coils!!
or are you staying leaf front?? or going coils??
I am surprised there isn't a disc conversion kit available here with the amount of hilux's out there. I will make them if I have to but normally simple brackets like this are not dear to buy but take a fair amount of time to make right and get engineered.
