How to get my barn dor open

Post by DX 80 »

80 series DX. Right hand side rear barn won't open. Bottom latch will release, but can't get the top one to undo.

Have broken 2 x release handles in the process and now got the shi!s.

Hit the top of the door where the latch is, with closed fist, works for me! Then, once open, adjust the latch on the body, to try and reduce it locking

Problem fixed. It was that flimsy aluminium mechanism that releases the top latch. It had snapped. Had a spare in the yard.
