any idea?

Post by suzukigav »

Hey i have a g13ba sierra. i went out wheeling on the weekend, usual stuf nothing major. For some reason the idle started acting up and stalling every time i stopped so i adjusted it and it still wouldn't idle by it self. It will only run if the accelerator pedal is on? really weird!

So today i took the air box off and had a look and it looks like there is no fuel going into the carby when the accelerator is off? I should be able to see some petrol going into it when it's trying to idle right?

any ideas?

have a look at this video i took of what's happening.(ie no fuel getting in at idle) sorry bout the crappy video.

x2
also make sure the idle jet isn't blocked , swap leads from 3and 4 start ( makes it back fire ) stop put leads back see if that helpped , or put hand over top of the carby when running choking it for a bit and remove your hand and see if that helpped .
zook carbies get used to it :D
