Mine hits 550 deg when pushing it hard, otherwise between 350 and 450 deg. sender in dump pipe bout 100mm from turbo.

Your reading will also depend on where the pyro sender is, as the temps before the turbo will be something like 100 deg hotter than a reading after the turbo in a dump pipe.

BTW, if your 2.4 was not built to run a turbo, your compression will be higher which will equate to running about 10 psi (if CT20 is set to std 7-8 psi) of boost in your engine. The turbo can handle it ok (been running mine at 11psi for a while now), not sure of the engine. Just be aware of it if/when raising the boost.

550 is pretty safe. (assuming post turbo?) if it's getting past 600 for any length of time, back the fuel off a bit.

thanks, yeah the sender will be on the dump pipe so looks like 550 is the high mark then as for the boost, not sure what pressure itll run ive assumed that it would be about 10psi as it is just a standard CT20 as far as i know

cheers
