Hey guys,
I bought a petrol tank this evening to replace my LPG tank. Its a stock petrol one as far as I know. For a GQ.
I heard something moving around so I pulled the cap off and found this:
What is it?
Should it be attached to something? The sender that came out of it had a float on it already.
The plastic clip looking thing looks like it might fit the pickup but it doesnt fit inside the baffling in the tank so that cant work either.
Any ideas?

Looks like a float off a sender.
I don't know why it is in there. I got the tank from an LPG Joint.
Might have disloged from he side of the tank?

Maybe it was a float for an old sender and they left it there because it doesnt fit out of the hole?
Its no big drama but if it doesnt need to be there Ill take it out.
I couldnt see a mounting position for it on the side of the tank but it was hard to see in there.

Hmm Im out of ideas then.
Its a lot bigger than the float on the sender that was in the tank. Its like 10 times the size.
Its approx 20cms by 20cms by 3 cms deep.
Should I just cut it up and take it out?
