HELP indicators don't work unless i use hazards

Indicators
It's most likely going to be in the stalk then, patrol stalks have a habbit of getting dirty contacts and then not working.
To test it though, get yourself a test light and about 10cm of wire roughly 1-2mm thick with either push terminals or small clamps on the ends, or you can hold the ends in place.
Take the stearing collum cowling off so the wiring is exposed to the back of the indicator stalk, it'll have a plug that can just pull off the stalk without pulling everything off the steering collum, pull that plug off so it's open.
There will be a heap of small contacts and either 2 or 3 large ones, the large ones are your indicators.
If there are three then one of them is your power feed and the other two are respective indicators, using the test light find which one is a positive, then you can bridge from the postive to one of the other two large contacts and one side of indicators will light up, if they do then it's the stalk, if not it'll be more complicated to find.
If there are only 2 large contacts, then pick up a positve from somewhere else and pretty much repeat the process i explained above.
