2 inch body lift for 06 jimny

Post by Mando »

Hi is there anyone out there who has done a 2 inch body lift on a 06 built jimny. if so was it easy enough and do you have any pointers for me that will make it all work smoothly and be ready to pass compliance? Thanks Mando :?:

PM Squik, I have sold her one of my kits. She will most probably put you in contact with Darren, I think, who actually did the install.

Yeah but Squik's is a Series 1 (no airbags). Don't think you'll be able to get a bodylift engineered on an airbag equipped vehicle.

I doubt a BL would affect the sensors for the airbags, wouldn't it just be some sensors in the front bar with a harness? If the harness doesn't stretch too much what would be the problem?

Hey mate mine is a series 2 M13a year 2001 with dual airbags and i have the 3 inch Snake Racing body lift engineered on my jimny....but i will tell you ...it was not easy finding someone that would pass a body lift with airbags. Most engineers you ring up don't want to know about it once they know it has airbags.

our process in Qld is different for approvals, the vehicles gets inspected by the Transport Department and you must gain pre approval before undergoing any works

Have done a couple of body lifts on 05/06 jimneys air bags no problems, have only done 2" though recon it would be fun with shifters using a 3" lift
93 NJ,5 speed,2" body lift,32" muddies

There's nuttn like momentum
