the only advantage of the shorties, as far as I see it, is they have a slightly better turning circle so are a bit better in the bush in a tight situation and they can carry a bit more gear
I have a lwb and always admired the shorties but they just cant carry enough gear for me
plus the lwb take a decent lift better
personal choice really

Satnav with Teretts, now thats funny....
Shorty's get the wheels up easier.
I like my shorty but probably wouldn't hesitate to swap with a long one if someone offered to swap.
The lack of room inside is pretty annoying sometimes.
I took the back seats out just so I could fit all my recovery gear and tools in the back.
Now Im sick of the lack of range with the swb's small aux petrol tank when on LPG so the LPG tank is going in the back as well. :(

SWB mav. Some mods.
Hopefully if you know how to drive, you don't end up on your lid. I'm with the MWB too, but the easiest way would be extend the shorty, which doesn't help with gear space, so lwb would probably be the way to go depending on what you are doing.q_ship wrote:cant drive swb when they are on their lids. im with darin, mwb all the way
In NZ, its easy enough to get away with a swb as travelling distances are smaller in general, but I like my shorty as a toy
