Loved the rain instead of dust.
the only let down for me is knowing some parents take theie children and teenagers to these comps and forget about them when they're there.
Pretty sure the unlocking of the hubs was done by teens as tony had found out, and the little wank on the cb on sunday afternoon telling everyone that was trying to communicate with eachother ( and tony) to fukoff.

I would like to say sorry for my choice of outfit for the mud hole. I am sorry that you could see.... well ...... bloody everything!!!
We had such a great weekend and my nav Richard was a bloody legend. But yes, he was a woosy la la for not getting out with me for the 'Borat' mankini moment.
Thanks to everyone for enjoying it in the spirit that is the Willowglen Mud Hole. Its one of the most fun parts, i think.
And thanks for posting my name, where I work, my club etc Jamie or Kev- I am glad I hadnt given you measurements, hobbies and personal details......
I think the wet day on Saturday showed up those who can really drive and those who rely on the car and its capabilities. How good did some of the standard cars do... Busted drove well and the other shell harbour boys, Thomas the Tank and his nav Gahndorf ! in the maroon GQ.

Now Jess, we didnt use the fire extinguishers this year csause we thought it was a tad cool, and everyone was wet enough after saturday, so we didint want to upset anyone.
As CV smasher said they are VOLUNTEERING THEIR TIME. Ian Ferguson and his team in my opinion do a good job. Not just because they're part of my club but they are trying to recover the vehicles with minimal or no extra damage and nearly always do. Yes they could do recoveries differant and quicker but if they were recovering your car being careless or trying to rush things and ended up damaging it further you would be the first to scream at them. Its not really very easy to do that job when you have "experts" who more than likely have downed half a case, telling them they are going about it the wrong way all the time. I take my hat off to the bloke that was called up for second place in touring class, then told TLCC that he was in challenge class (it was a bit of a downer that scores were stuffed up but it happens when there is soooo much to organise).
Its good to know that there ARE SOME honest people out there that dont take what is NOT rightfully theres.

They do a GREAT JOB but i think that some of the teams don't have as much experience as others and thats when the recoveries start to go slow. Goddess of Self Esteem Issues!
Very sore. Being carried from the mud event on Sunday was enough proof for everyone to see how much pain the poor bugger was in. I dont know how much longer he can keep it up for unfortunately. He had a great team on the Challenge commitee taking a heap of work off him leading up to the comp, but its the constant walking around during the weekend thats the problem. The biggest regret he has is not having the 4 wheeler buggy he uses at Tuff Truck and also at 07 Willowglen. He wasn't sure wether it really made much differance last year but he deeply regretted not having it there this year. My personal opinion is if Dad wants to still be involved he needs to take a step or two back on the weekend. Whenever there was an issue he is called for. Now im not beginning to blame anyone for causing the athritis pain of Dads and never will do, but i think someone(s) else needs to step up and take a lot of the "pressure" off Tony during the competition when there is an issue (as has been the case for 5 years now), walking from one event to another constantly and im confidant that Pete, Mary, Andrew and Rob will and probably already have discussed this, as its upsetting to see a good mate and a father unable to walk after the event. What has been real good is the amount of concern shown for Tony from competitors and spectators about his health. I was asked by a number of people how he was.

Very true statement mate. The most experianced hands we have at recoveries are either running the stages or been fed up of copping crap consistantly and have said enoughs enough. It all comes down to experiance. They like most of us learn a thing or two regarding recoveries in certain situations with each event they help out and they'll get better and better. You may not have noticed but we also had to hand back 2nd place team and take 3rd.
I still think the TLCC do a great job trying to run such a large event and when it comes to getting all the scores together as quick as they can so as not to hold up the presentation, I can accept that some errors can happen.
Looking forward to next year. Keep up the good work TLCC.

i liked my 5th place in nissan trials better
2 averages for you thunder so it was a pretty expensive 30min worth of driving for the weekend than , i feel for ya i thought i was hard done by having too take one average .
act club all your scores were real close , you's deserve at least 3rd place as you's work well as a team .
and with zurgs secret project, next year you'll be first

our other member who came 7th got 1 average on day 1
broke a rear axle on 1st event day 2 and did not drive the mud as only had front wheel drive.
If he drove the mud he would have pushed up towards 3rd.
the mud wasnt that hard to get to 50- 60 points.The zook done excellent to get to the last hole
