Patrol rims on hilux
Will 15 inch rims from a patrol suit a ln 106 hilux.
im looking at running a second set of tyres and one set im looking at are off a patrol.
im concerned about two things, offset effecting them rubbing / fitting and if they will fit over the calipers ok.
They are 285/75/16's
Thanks
Ben

yeah I have considered getting a few old sunnies cheap, was just wondendering if they might fit.
its pretty common to see 4 sunnies for sale second hand so thats always an option. I would only need 3.
but still keen to know if they might fit - as then it makes them more viable for me to afford.
damned being a slave to the mortgage! always have to weigh up the costs.

I run std Patrol steel 16" rims for the 32" road rubber, clears calipers, etc. easily tho have a bit of lift.
EDIT : Should clarify, the rims I use are std GU Patrol steelies.

Thanks dougster, have you noticed if it sits the wheels on a wider track, or narrower or about the same?
I have been given the green light for a set of play tyres... but i have been told that when ever i spend un necissary $$$ on the lux she gets to spend un necissary $$$ on what ever she wants too...
So i'm going to park out on the street tonight and get my tyres nicked... then the new ones are necissary

Yea, the track is wider which helps on and off road handling.
With mine the std flares still cover easily, you may need some rubber flares or something to keep the boys in blue happy tho.
As long as you can't see any of the tyre outside of the guard/flare with wheels straight, then all is good.

ill still have 31 10.5's on for every day driving and just put the bigger tyres on for offroad, so the width shouldnt be likely to give me to much grief.
damn expensive tyres grumble grumble grumble!
