I have finished my rear disc conversion on my 60 series!!! I put an 80 series booster on it, but it appears that it is not a dual diaphragm booster, as the pedal is overly hard. Anyone have pictures of a dual diaphragm booster compared to a single, or can describe in detail the visual differences?
(Unfortunately I didn't get the cruiser finished in time to go away on our holiday to Darwin, so ended up taking the wife's CRV, so no boat here to go fishing in.... will have to hire a guide for a few days. Anyone know any good lure and fly guides to fish Darwin and Bynoe Harbours??)

The 80 runs a dual diaphram booster, it has a slightly smaller diameter infront of the larger one, and thats the two of em...
Single diaphram boosters dont have this second smaller round bit,
The 1988 and later 60 went to the dual booster, but smaller than the 80
There is a piccy of an 80 booster on ebaye now. PM Crankycruiser for a set of v6 forrunner front callipers, that will make a huge improvement and bolt straight on the front

Confucious say...man who argue with idiot, worserer himself
will try and post some pics, I am on holidays in Darwin but have brought the camera that has some pictures of the conversion on it. (I just have to work out how to load them on to my website)
I found two 80 series boosters on ebay, are they both dual diaphragm? seems they have an extra inch thickness at the front compared to the 80 series booster I have.
Thanks for the offer on the callipers, I allready have 4runner callipers up front. To do my conversion I used standard 60 discs up front, 4 runner 45mm piston callipers on the front, Marks axle widening kit up front with IFS lux hubs. 80 series booster (gotta get a dual diaphragm booster) 80 series master cylinder, Willwood adjustable proportioning valve between m/cylinder and rear callipers which are brumby vented front callipers. GQ rear discs over 80 series rear hubs.
I made my own rear brackets (well designed them and and them laser cut) as well as backing plates. For the park brake I used a 40 series cable between the lever and a bracket that I fashioned that bolts up where the old handbrake cable is clamped too.
There is nothing "bolt on" about this conversion, it took quite a while to do, with lots of trial and error fitting.
