What boost are you planning to run after you get a tune?
To be honest, i could wind it to 14, but the way it is, i am pretty happy with 10.

With the amount of weight in my vehicle which is nothing but ARB barwork a rack and 35s on a 5 inch lift, no draws, no ratios etc, combined with my weight. Its punching hard as. If i add more weight i will take it up to the 14 to compensate.

I would probably then have to re think the way i drove it i would guess to make sure im still hitting full boost like i am now.

Hey mate! Where in Sydney are you?

You rig is setup exactly like mine by the sound of it.

5" lift, 35s, and a bit of weight on all corners

I'm not after enormous power mate, I just want to make driving this thing a little more pleasant

Ideally it should have boost from low to mid, I never rev over 3000-3200rpm.

The Shire mate.

LOL as for making it more plesant to drive it does that, but it also gives it that extra bang if u need to stomp it for eg, over taking or when your off road.

NB: I was lucky enough to drive a GU with a similar set up a few weeks ago, running 37s, 7 inch lift and the ratios done. It was pulling 24psi. Its a light blue baby im sure a few people have seen driving around from down the gong way, he just sold it for 100 thou, it was purely set up for touring and weighed 4 tonne, Fully decked out, and it drove just like a normal non lifted Patrol

Yeah, that was one of the "maybe" "possibly" might work filter boxes. I'm still after results from someone with a GU ZD30 box in a TD42 GQ with dual batteries.

I might have to do some serious digging over the weekend to find my answer. Or possibly go to pick-a-part or AAA wreckers in the next few weeks.

well, after much forking around, i managed to get old of one from the wrecker. Its going to be a snug fit. As soon as its in ill take a picture of it. However from looking at it and comparing it to my verticle pre cleaner it looks like a easy fit.. tight but will slot straight in.

Im doing it this weekend, so as soon as its done pictures posted.
