80 series V8 Question?

Post by RUFF »

How much room is there between the front of the engine and the radiator in a V8 Swap in an 80 series? Eg- Holden 308 or Chev.

Basicaly is it a lot more than the stock 6cyl or very similar?

I have a Gen 3 in my 105, which is not an 80, however they are not that different.

There is plenty of room, and Marks Adaptors have a conversion kit which allows the water pump to be fitted with a new pully which drives a viscous coupled fan. This sits quite neatly in between the engine and radiator, plenty of room.

Hope this helps.

There is 180mm from the radiator to the pully. Less if thermos, also that doesnt include the viscous fan obviously.
