2L or 2LE?

these are different, the 2L also had the boost compensator I think which the 3L doesnt.

There are new 2L fuel pumps going on ebay for like $400, bargain if they are any good. anyone had one?

afaik the mechanical pumps are interchangeable with 2lt 3l and 5l. the electronic pumps i'm not sure on but did hear something about interchangable betwen 2lte and 5le.

not to sure with the the 2l or if there is any difference between the pump bodys for the 2l/2lt 1st series and 2l/2lt 2nd series.

i saw one web site list about 8 different versions of 2lt. pump tuning will be different in each.

http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/forum/ should have heaps of info.

It will bolt up, but calibration settings are different. Why are you doing this??

My current pump is leaking like a sieve. And it is a lot cheaper to replace the pump with a known good pump from a 3L than to get mine overhauled.Less than 1/3 the price....

different injection rates, spring settings for advance etc.

Could be done, ie it will bolt on, but not the best way to go about it.
dont want to damage your motor with overfuelling.

where is your current one leaking.
top seal and other seals are easily replaced if you take the pump out yourself.

Better doing that, than stuffing around with a different pump with different calibrations.

Fixed the leak to a large extent. Inside cover plate had come loose..
25 Litres of diesel to travel 40k's....
Sealed up and loctited screws.. So far so good.

But will steer clear of a 3L pump due to different internals..
