Indicator Problem

Post by zooklover »

Just this weekend i went for a trip to Mt Mee in the suzi and hit up some trails, now my indicators dont work. Any ideas what has happened? Its a bit embarassing having to indicate with hand signals.

Cant remember with zooks, too late to check
But some cars have separate flasher cans for Hazards and indicators
Often the same with fuses too

Check that the plug from the steering column has not come loose, completely disconnect it and look for corrosion of the terminals

Cant find my wiring diagram ATM but work out which wires are for the indicator. There should be three (feed, Left and right)
Using a multimeter or test light see if the 12V between feed and ground
Using a piece of wire at the plug short from feed to left the feed to right
If they work your stalk is buggered (misses won't be impressed)

Many of the stupid little electrical/lighting problems on zook can be solved by cleaning the earths and lights out. Goes for many cars actually.
