60 series on coils conversion question
hi on the weekend up the bush i was thinking how to fit coils on my 60 was in my mates pootrol nice and comfy them coils but the rest well its nissan so i am thinking get coils on 60 have the beast tojo should have built. thinking front; range rover coils with x-link standard axle with ifs widening kit. rear; 80 series axle 100 series rear coils a frame with longer than standard arms reasons for axle choice is i aleready have f/r air lockers. has anybody done this before? how did you go with steering box and gearbox cross member? can weld my self. any recomendations or better ideas what do you recon just planing atm with cans of bundy.

where will you be mounting the coils on the front axle??? I looked into this a while back and after looking at 80 series and GQ's, & it just seemed that the chassis rails wouldn't accomodate the spring perches. Going on memory without jumping under my truck, think their chassis rails step in a bit and the 60's are almost straight.

better to try over at ih8mud.com the yanks have done it 1000's of times using every different axle comb you can think of.
but 100/80's coils will be better on the front as they taper at the bottom allowing you to get closer to the knuckle/hub uses the same coil hat as rangies, im doing the front on a 75 atm and thats what ive settled on.
