You have a hardie spicer down there? They can make you any shaft you like to any specs. Get a longer slip join while you're at it.

longer slip jiont is good for when you have alot of travel so the shaft doesnt fall out or have minimal amount of contact between the two pieces so it doesnt get shagged as easy

sorry for the hijack

i need my shaft extened buy 1.25inch. going to cost about $220. or i can get a 1inch longer slip yoke for $160. i only have 1.5inch of uptravle and the rest is droop (ruf,SPOA) so i am thinking the longer slip yoke is going to be better?

Not quite sure on youre question sorry, but did any of you get shafts rebuilt? I recently got a quote from Spicer to replace my slipjoint and fit another tube 2" longer than standard, and theyre quoting me $450 for my front shaft including balancing. Sorry but that is f#cking rediculous, even if thats about a standard price. Is there any other options, as 2nd hand shafts seem to be thin on the ground, especially ones that have acceptable slop in the slipjoint.
