In all terrain type events, eg ttc I think a few may have caught up to him now so to say the best might be going a tad far now.
would love to see him do a winch challenge or navigational type event as he'd be like a fish out of water

So in saying that:-
Xtreme 4x4 Spot will sponsor their entry at Round 1 at LMP Feb 2009.
All they need is a truck that fits the XWC rules.
Rules can be found at www.xtreme4x4sport.com.au if you are interested.
Only 26 sleeps until I leave for the RFC.

Would be worth bending the rules for him just as a draw card for the event for spectators I know I'd go just to watch that

As per TTC rules all vehicles have to be registered as a 4WD (nearly legal) so if it complies with the rest of XWC Rules he will be able to compete.
As for a draw card the XWC has many supporters who already follow their competitors going by attendance at XWC events, so a few that would follow might not make that much difference to the crowd, but you never know. The more the better.
And regards bending the rules for him :-
I DON"T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that others have caught up...but the way that he has dominated TTC and rock crawling here is just phenomenal. His control over rear steer is like its a 6th sense.

G'day Guys.
Has anyone got a video of the Saturday drive I had on A3...
Hey Dave
How about not bending the rules.
How about just an exhibition one off entry. Not for points? or prizes.
That way I could compete in all stages as is!!
Theres no way I will be building another vehicle at this point!!!
Maybe in a few years when my new business is rockin.
I'd love to compete in all winch challenge events, Rock Crawls & TTC....
But I really need to focus on my Business's. So TTC is the only event I'll be aiming for in the near future.
I will be doing plenty more social driving as I have done over the last few months in my new Truck, which most people have not even seen yet. I will be ready for TTC in 2009..
"Guts"
I don't think everyones caught up to me, but in saying that, i'm not saying that i'm better than everyone...
A lot of people have caught up to my old yellow truck which don't forget hasn't really changed since 2002.
I was lucky to do so well in it for so long. It really was past its used by date.
Though, i'm damn sure it would have been in the top 5 at this years TTC with the late rule changes that they had.
So I should have hired it back...

My vehicle is built for a different set of rules. & is indestructable so far with 42's, & as we all know, strength goes a long way... & with 500hp... I'm sure that lack of power will be an issue either...
As well as having the most advanced suspension system in Australia for Higher Speed All Terrain events, as well as Rock Crawl & TTC type events... Its only just been released, but I'm sure you'll see it in many vehicles in the next couple of years.
Where we would lack in a winch challenge event would only be the Navi's experience ( so i'd just have to borrow an experienced one ) & winching, ( more practice & a faster which )!!
I'm sure as a driver, I could adjust to the conditions.

Hi Pete,
I would love to see you at my 10th year/birthday of XWC.
And as you have suggested as an exhibition run, that sounds great.
But apart from vehicle build, you must run no larger then a measured 37" wheel, and you must follow event rules etc only one attempt at a hill where marked and so on.
Mate it would be great to see you at Round 1 20th - 22nd February 2009.
If after you compete in an XWC you might change and try and build the best winch truck around, I know that you can build one of the best TTC or RCT around, so this could be a new challenge for you.
Cheers
